The Fox

The Fox,

10 years ago I graduated from The Vancouver Film School #VFS and my graduation Short was a story about a Fox and a Crow.

Initially the heads of the animation departments weren't fond of the idea. because I was graduating from 3D Animation and they didn't have the Fox or the Crow Rigs so I could animate.

But since I was so obsessed with my story  I decided to take the challenge and Do the Concept &  Character Design, the modeling and rigging for a bird (the Crow) and a quadruped for animation.

 and then I changed my concept over a weekend and decided to go from a simplistic toon look into the colors of a Bruegel Painting.

Usually it takes 6 months to create a 1 minute short film for a reel. yet I lost almost month and a half because XSI Softimage 6.5 was upgraded to 7 over a weekend. and I lost my rigging so I had to relearn again in order to achieve what I wanted, since Version 7 had lost the magical power of its Rigging Flow.
